Music and Mental Balance

Music has always been an integral part of my life thinking back from a very young age I began to fall in love with Trance and Electronic music. Artist such as Tiesto, Armin van Buuren, Carl Cox, Surge, the Bump series, Deadmau5, Avicii, Just kiddin, just to name a few. Coming from South Africa (Johannesburg) I can remember a time when a radio station called 5 FM, used to play electronic music on a Friday evening and I would be there recording their sets on cassette, yes you read correct cassette.

But in general all genres intrigued me and I began to collect, download and mass up a collection of music from oldies to current tracks, I think my iTunes playlist has all kinds of music. Particularly Acoustic, man do I love that sound. something just resonates within me when hearing an acoustic version of my favourite sounds. one in particular hits my heart hard is this one: https://soundcloud.com/futuro-de-las-casas/august-rush-rhapsody always brings tear's to my eyes. Give it a listen and comment below and share how it makes you feel.

Music has always given me an avenue to bring myself back to a calm and joyful state when faced or having experienced challenging times. Feeling sad, I go to my favourites tracks, zone out and just let the music consume me to makes things brighter again.

I share my sound cloud playlist with you all, to give you an insight into the kind of music I listen to.
